  • GRSE ASW Shallow Water Craft:
    • GRSE (Garden Reach Shipbuilders & Engineers Limited) in Kolkata launched the 8th and final Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW) Shallow Water Craft.
    • Name of 8th craft: INS Ajay (also known as Yard 3034).
    • India's first ASW craft: INS Arnala (named after Arnala Fort in Maharashtra).
  • Indian Air Force MiG-21 Retirement:
    • IAF to retire all MiG-21 fighter jets by September 2025.
    • Reason for retirement: Aging fleet, high accident rate (referred to as "flying coffin").
    • Replacement: Light Combat Aircraft (LCA) Tejas.
    • Currently, 23 squadrons of MiG-21 (called 'Panthers') are active.
    • MiG-21 (Mikoyan-Gurevich) was inducted into IAF in 1963.
    • Played key roles in 1965, 1971, and Kargil (1999) wars.

  • India's First Indigenous Geothermal Plant:
