- SIMBEX Exercise: The 32nd Singapore India Maritime Bilateral Exercise (SIMBEX) was held in Singapore. Indian Naval Ships INS Delhi, INS Satpura, INS Kiltan, and INS Shakti participated in this naval exercise, previously known as the Lion King Exercise.
- Ukraine Prime Minister: Yulia Syuridenko has been appointed as the new Prime Minister of Ukraine, recognized for her key role in a mining partnership with the USA. Ukraine's President is Volodymyr Zelenskyy, its capital is Kyiv, and its currency is Hryvnia. Ukraine's operation against Russia is called Operation Spider Web.
- US Terrorist Designation: The USA has designated The Resistance Front (TRF), an offshoot of Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), as a foreign terrorist organization. This designation makes funding or assisting TRF a crime under US law. This follows the April 22nd terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu & Kashmir, for which TRF claimed responsibility. Post-Pahalgam, India launched Operation Sindoor on May 7th, destroying nine terrorist hideouts in Pakistan.
- India's Aid: India has sent 300,000 doses of Measles-Rubella vaccine to Bolivia.
- International Chemistry Olympiad: In the 57th International Chemistry Olympiad held in Dubai, UAE, the Indian team won four medals, including two gold (by Sandeep Kuchi and Pankaj) and two silver.

- Swachh Survekshan 2024-25: Awards were presented by President Droupadi Murmu on July 17, 2025, by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA), currently led by Manohar Lal Khattar. The theme is "Reuse, Reduce, Recycle."
- A new category, "Super Swachh League," was introduced.
- In the 10 Lakh+ population category, Indore ranked 1st, followed by Surat and Navi Mumbai.
- In the 3-10 Lakh population category, Noida (Uttar Pradesh) ranked 1st.
- In the traditional "Swachh City" category:
- Ahmedabad ranked 1st in the 10 Lakh+ population.
- Mira-Bhayandar (Maharashtra) ranked 1st in the 3-10 Lakh population.
- Indore has been declared India's cleanest city for the 8th consecutive time.
- Secunderabad was named the best cantonment board, and Prayagraj the best Ganga city.

- Foreign University Campus: Southampton University (UK), a top 100 global university, has received UGC approval to establish its Indian campus in Gurugram, Haryana. The campus was inaugurated by Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.
- High Court Chief Justice Appointments: President Droupadi Murmu appointed Chief Justices to five High Courts under Article 217(1) of the Constitution, based on the Collegium's recommendation.

- International Justice Day: Celebrated on July 17th, commemorating the adoption of the Rome Statute in 1998, which led to the establishment of the International Criminal Court (ICC). The ICC started functioning in 2002, with its headquarters in The Hague, Netherlands.
- National Conference on Good Governance Practices: Held in Bhubaneswar, Odisha, from July 17-18. It was inaugurated by Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh and Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi.
- SWEEP Icon: The Central Election Commission appointed Neetu Chandra and Kranti Prakash Jha as the SWEEP icons for the upcoming Bihar elections. The SWEEP program aims to raise voter awareness and encourage participation. The Election Commission was established on January 25, 1950. Gyanesh Kumar is the current Chief Election Commissioner.
- Agricultural Status for Animal Husbandry & Poultry: Maharashtra has become the first state in India to grant agricultural status to animal husbandry and poultry farming, providing them with benefits like subsidies and low-interest loans.
- National Geospatial Practitioner Award: Awarded to the Indian National Centre for Ocean Information Services (INCOIS). INCOIS previously received the Subhash Chandra Bose Disaster Management Award.
