Rajasthan's First Farmer Drone Training Center

  • Rajasthan's first farmer drone training center is established at Agriculture University Jodhpur.

Inter-State Tiger Translocation

  • Rajasthan's first inter-state tiger translocation will be conducted with Madhya Pradesh (MP).
  • Objective: To improve the tiger gene pool.
  • First Translocation: A tigress will be brought from Pench Tiger Reserve (MP) to Ramgarh Vishdhari Tiger Reserve (Rajasthan).
  • A 'Tiger Corridor' is being established between Rajasthan and MP to facilitate this.
  • Historical Context (Intra-state): Rajasthan's first internal tiger translocation occurred in June 2008, moving a tigress ('Babli') and a tiger ('Sultan') from Ranthambore to Sariska Tiger Reserve.

  • The Employers' Association of Rajasthan (EAR) has signed an MoU with Space Element for water harvesting initiatives.

    • Tanka: Underground tank for rainwater storage in houses.
    • Toba: A larger version of a Tanka.
    • Talab/Pokhar: Ponds.
    • Baori: Step-wells.
    • Rail/Neda: Small anicuts or dams in rocky terrain for water harvesting.
    • Johad: Earthen ponds (Rajendra Prasad is known as 'Waterman' or 'Johad wale Baba').
    • Khadin/Playas: Temporary lakes in Jaisalmer, developed by Paliwal Brahmins, for agricultural purposes.

  • Modern Water Conservation Initiatives:
