    • The central government awarded GI tags to two traditional Lepcha musical instruments from Sikkim: Tungbang (a three-stringed instrument) and Pamtong (a flute). The announcement occurred at the first Tribal Trade Conference in Delhi.
    • India's first river terminal was inaugurated in Guwahati, Assam, on the Brahmaputra Riverfront, designed for both passenger and cargo transport.
    • ISRO successfully tested the main parachute system for the Gaganyaan crew module at the Babina Field Firing Range in Jhansi, Uttar Pradesh. This system, utilizing 10 parachutes, is critical for the crew module's soft landing.
    • Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan launched the Kumki Training Center and Hanuman Project in Chittoor district.     • The Delhi bomb blast was declared a terrorist attack by the Indian government. Investigations led to the arrest of two doctors and the recovery of ricin poison (a highly toxic protein from castor beans) and large quantities of ammonium nitrate (an explosive substance) in Faridabad (Jammu & Kashmir Police) and Hyderabad (Gujarat Police's anti-terrorism squad).

    • Sahitya Akademi Children's Literature Award 2025:
      • Hindi Language: "Ek Baees" (1/1) by Sushil Shukla.
      • English Language: "South Indian Myths" (Dakshin Dakshin).
      • Rajasthani Language: "Pankherubri Peeda" (a play).
      • Each award carried a prize of ₹50,000.
    • 103 gold coins from the Vijayanagara period were discovered in the Tiruvannamalai district of Tamil Nadu. The coins feature a boar image and are believed to be from the reign of Harihara II or Krishnadevaraya, found within a Shiva temple.
    • A rare spider, 'Dendryphantes Inazuma', exhibiting gynandromorphism (half-female, half-male body), was discovered in Thailand. The female half is orange, the male half grey, with the female side reportedly having prominent fangs.
  • International Appointments

    • Khalid Al-Anani from Egypt has been appointed as the 12th Director-General of UNESCO, succeeding Audrey Azoulay. His four-year term is set to begin on November 15, 2025.
