Rajasthan Development & Infrastructure
- Inland Port Waterway:
- An Inland Port Waterway will be constructed in Jalore.
- Previously, an Inland Container Depot/Port was announced for Bakhasar, Shahgarh, Barmer, planned to connect to the Gulf of Kutch via a canal.
- A recent MoU declared the Jawai, Luni, and Rann of Kutch region as National Water Highway (NWH) No. 48.
- Under NWH 48, Jalore will be connected to Kandla Port via a canal.
- The canal will be 262 km long, with 12 km within Rajasthan.
- The survey for this canal is being conducted by IIT Madras.
- Ramgarh, Jaisalmer: Sighting of the rare Asiatic Caracal cat.
- Bakhasar, Shahgarh, Barmer: Besides the proposed inland port, National Highway 925A features an emergency landing strip, which recently saw fighter jets and transport aircraft landings during exercises.
- Khichan, Phalodi: Has been included as a Ramsar Site.
Jaipur City Updates
- Jaipur Foundation Day:
- Celebrated on November 18, 2025, with the theme "Vikas bhi aur Virasat bhi" (Development and Heritage) at Statue Circle.
- Jaipur was founded on November 18, 1727, by Sawai Jai Singh, with Vidyadhar Bhattacharya as its architect. It is designed on a 90-degree grid with nine sectors.
- Upcoming 300th Anniversary (2027): The state budget 2025-26 announced year-long celebrations for Jaipur's 300th foundation anniversary in 2027.
- A "Govind Dev Ji Kala Mahotsav" will be organized with a budget of ₹50 crore.
- Upanama (Nicknames): Jaipur is known as Pink City, Paris of the East, Island of Glory, Heritage City, Second Kashi of Rajasthan, Ratna Nagari, and Panna Nagari.
- Central Sanskrit University: Hosted the West Central Regional Youth Festival from November 12-14, 2025.
- (Note: Jaipur has two Sanskrit universities: Central Sanskrit University, established by the Government of India, and Jagadguru Ramanandacharya Sanskrit University, a state government university.)
- Jagadguru Ramanandacharya Sanskrit University: Hosted the State Level Van Mahotsav (Forest Festival) on July 27, 2025.
- Amrita Devi Van Awards were distributed, recognizing:
- Van (Forest) & Wildlife Protection: Upkar Sansthan, Alwar.
- Forest Protection: Murari Dan Barath (Jalore) and Ajit Singh (Sikar).
- Wildlife Protection: Gauri Shankar Sharma and Govind Bhardwaj.
- Amrita Devi Van Awards were distributed, recognizing:
- PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana: The state-level ceremony for the 21st installment of the scheme was held in Jaipur at SIAM (State Institute of Agricultural Management) in Durgapura.
- PM Kisan Utsav Diwas was observed on November 19, 2025.
- The PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, launched in February 2019 (with benefits starting December 2018), provides ₹6,000 annually to farmers in three installments of ₹2,000 each.
- The national-level program for the 21st installment was held in Coimbatore, distributing ₹18,000 crore to 9 crore farmers nationwide.
- In Rajasthan, 66.62 lakh farmers received ₹1332.40 crore.
- SIAM (established 1993) has also initiated an Organic Mart.
- Lord Parshvanath Crystal Idol: Jaipur is home to the country's most expensive Lord Parshvanath crystal idol, crafted from crystals sourced from Afghanistan and Brazil, embedded with gems, and designed for 360-degree viewing.
- Jaipur Airport Lion Sculpture: A 30-foot-high lion sculpture is being constructed at Jaipur Airport by artist Pawan Kumar Bhatt.

- Commonwealth Chess Championship (Kuala Lumpur): Kiana Parihar from Rajasthan won a gold medal.
- Chess Grandmasters from Rajasthan:
- Abhijeet Gupta (Bhilwara): First Grandmaster.
- Yash Bhariya (Jaipur): Second Grandmaster.
- Chess Grandmasters from Rajasthan:
- 6th National Water Award 2024: Bajrang Lal Jetho from Rajasthan was honored.
- Sub-Junior & Junior National Squash Championship (Chennai): Divyanshi Jain from Rajasthan won a gold medal.
Education & Social Initiatives
- Khushishala Program: Rajasthan State Educational Research and Training Council launched this program for students of classes 1 to 5.
- IUCN World Conservation Congress Book: "Rangers Women Reshaping the Conservation" featured courageous stories of Rajasthan's wildlife workers Prem Kumar Shatavat and Anju Chauhan.
- "No to Drugs, Yes to Life" Campaign: A public awareness campaign against drug abuse is being run in Jodhpur.
