- 71st Amendment (1992): Added three new languages (Nepali, Manipuri, Konkani) to Schedule 8, bringing the total to 18.
- 73rd Amendment (1992): Added Part 9 (Panchayati Raj), Articles 243-243O, and Schedule 11 (29 subjects for Panchayats). Implemented on April 24, 1993.
- 74th Amendment (1992): Added Part 9A (Urban Local Bodies) and Schedule 12.
