- Supply Chain Resilience: Minimizes vulnerability to global supply chain disruptions (e.g., shortages experienced during COVID-19).
- National Security: Secures critical infrastructure, defense systems, and telecommunications from hardware-level vulnerabilities and cyber threats.
- Import Substitution: Reduces heavy reliance on semiconductor imports, primarily from Taiwan, China, and South Korea.

- Abatement Technologies Clause: Criticism over loopholes regarding "abatement and removal technologies" (like Carbon Capture and Storage), which critics argue may prolong the use of fossil fuels.
